Critic scores and sales rarely agree. A game can shift tens of millions of copies and still land in the seventies, while a modest release picks up a ninety-plus average and a permanent place in best-of lists.
Each round shows you one game's Metacritic score and hides the other. Your job is to decide whether the hidden score is higher or lower. Equal values always count as correct, so ties never punish you.
The top of the scale is crowded and very close together, which is what makes this mode difficult. Ocarina of Time, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV all sit within a point or two of each other, so knowing the rough tier of a game matters more than remembering an exact number.

How it works
You are shown two items side by side. One reveals its number; the other hides it behind a question mark. Decide whether the hidden value is higher or lower, and every correct call extends your streak. One wrong guess ends the run.
